Located in the Ritto region of Japan tucked away is this 53-year-old home recently renovated by a small family of new owners. The goal in renovation was to update the core structure while preserving the homes heritage and charm. By sampling modernizing the cultural dwelling, the house makes updated additions while paying homage to the homes traditional roots. All modifications were mapped and made by ALTS Design Office who managed this task.
