Music| Flying Lotus “You’re Dead” Album Streaming

• Art isn’t always applied to music today, but when it comes to artist Flying Lotus, Art and Music are one in the same. Today, Flying lotus released his new album “You’re Dead”, which is a follow-up to 2012’s Until the Quiet Comes. The 19-track LP is lead by the song “Never Catch Me” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Additional features and contributions come from Snoop Dogg, Thundercat, Herbie Hancock, Angel Deradoorian, Niki Randa, and FlyLo’s alter-ego Captain Murphy.

• So to step back from Flacco’s Vogue magazine with girlfriend Chanel iman, we bring you the fourth episode of his continous documentary. Noisey has just released the fourth part of their five-part documentary which chronicles the ascension of A$AP Rocky, from home videos and interviews with friends and family, to the very first seminal moments of his career caught on tape. In part four Rocky hangs out with fashion icon Jeremy Scott, learns a “secret handshake” from Kathy Griffin, and receives some wisdom from Snoop Dogg himself. Vice‘s Noisey channel has created a feature length documentary looking at the man behind the music and his sudden rise to fame. Featuring home videos, interviews with friends and cameos from Drake, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg and more, SVDDXNLY follows the rapper’s story as he takes A$AP Mob from Harlem to the world.

Music & Event|Coachella 2014 Re-Cap

• 2014’s Coahcella has been on the high anticipation list for quite some time with many of HipHop’s Greats set to perform and the reunion of the ATLiens’ OutKast. We just want to give you the 3 day event recap.

Above is the moment many have waited on and with out missing a beat the two ATL residers gave California a great show. They played old OutKast classics, incorporated songs from each other’s solo projects and also had a bunch of guests on stage, including Future, Janelle Monáe and others.

Next is Pharrell Williams hit the stage yesterday and leaves fans overly satisfied. Hitting center stage with with his renown Vivienne Westwood hat and a list of close friends including  Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Diddy and Busta Rhymes. Giving a few selections from his latest album G I R L, Sir Williams had one of the best performances of the weekend.

After OutKast gave a history making performance and Pharrell’s friends and family takeover, New York had to represent. Nas hit the stage bringing out Hov and BadBoy’s Boss Diddy. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album, Illmatic, Nas performed the album in it’s entirety and then performed together with JAY Z and Diddy.
