• The ongoing collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has released several iconic collections and the legacy of the Y-3 brand continues. In the last few weeks Y-3 has released a few new colorways with some familiar silhouettes that fans will appreciate. The list consisted of two new Qasa High’s in Khaki & All black and two new Heyex. Enjoy The Unique releases and where to get them.
Y-3 Fall 2014 Hayex Low
Featuring a silhouette inspired by the iconic Clarks Wallabee, the Japanese brand’s take on the shoe brings together a whole range of interesting materials and colors. Leather, suede and mesh comprise most of the upper, while the sole is made up of plastic and rubber. The attention to detail is superb, with a wood-grain outsole print contrasting beautifully against the red mesh upper. Look for the sneakers in the coming months at select retailers and the official Y-3 online store.
Y-3 Qasa High “All Black”
Without any doubt one of the most unique silhouettes in recent years, the Qasa High ticks all the right boxes when it comes to combining the aesthetics of high-fashion with the wearability of street sneakers. The wraparound upper gives the Qasa High the comfort of a slip-on sneaker and the thick outer sole adds that high fashion touch to it. In its entirely tonal black version, the Qasa High might come in its strongest colorway to date in our opinion. Shipping in August 2014, the Y-3 Qasa High “All-Black” is available worldwide for pre-order exclusively now at SneakerBoy.
Y-3 Qasa High “Khaki”
The recognizable sneaker features a khaki-colored form-fitting, sock-like upper with cross-quarter neoprene straps that wrap around the foot for a lock-down fit, all while sitting atop an unmistakable white roll-ball outsole. The shoe also boasts a white supporting branded heel cap, and leather trim on the heel and toe. The Y-3 Qasa High “Khaki” is now available for pre-order at Australia’s Sneakerboy for approximately $407 USD.
Y-3 Fall 2014 Hayex High “Zebra”
The label’s latest offering shows the duo’s willingness to experiment in terms of both silhouette and colorway. Inspiration from different footwear ranges can be seen throughout, form the hiking-inspired laces to the running-inspired sole. Look for the sneakers in the coming months at select retailers and the official Y-3 online store.
