Nike is back ramping up their collection of food and beverage inspired releases and for this series, the fashion-footwear powerhouse decided to reach out to Mexican soda company Jarritos. Taking notes from the flavorful beverage brand, the release pays homage with their signature colorways. Brand meshing along with fabric-fusing are key features on this rendition of the super popular silhouette.
In detail, these pair begin with a light gray leather base which is accompanied by a hemp overlay. To showcase the collaboration, touches of Jarritos’ signature green adorn the Swooshes, co-branding and rubber outsole all while Jarrito’s orange also appears on branding elements, such as a small portion of the outsole and is used as contrast stitching at the midsole. Deepening the collaboration is Jarritos’ jug pouring out its classic Mandarin flavor towards the heel. Obvious co-branded takes place on the tongue design and heel branding that reads “NIKE” and “JARRITOS” across the two shoes.
Releasing Friday, May 6th, these will be available at FTC San Fransico available at $130 USD.
