
Beats & Nike are officially announcing their first ever hardware collaboration on a newly added pair dubbed Powerbeats Pro 2. The technological tandem masterfully meshed their renowned designed styles and crafted an iconic crossover. This limited edition release showcases the two powerhouse brands fusing shared history to produce a Nike Special Edition.
This historic collaboration is an audio shift as Beats shares their popularized earbud real estate with their partnered brand for the first time ever. The new headset utilizes Nike’s high-energy “Volt” color palette adorned over the Beats in-ear design. Branding was placed on the headset with the Nike renowned “Swoosh” on the right ear while the signature “B” by Beats on the left ear. Housing the headset is a striking matte black, Volt-speckled charging case that is stamped with the Nike mantra “JUST DO IT”, printed on the inside of the case. Aside from the design aesthetic, the technological features include the Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), Transparency mode, and signature wrap-around earhooks. The headset is geared for athlete use as the hardware is equipped with an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating and holds 45 hours of total battery life.
To celebrate the release, Beats reached out to their longtime brand ambassador LeBron James for the campaign and placed the renowned Basketball star in a new sport choice of Golfing. The campaign dubbed “Keep Your Head in The Game”, the campaign captures James tuning out the hate with the headset plug in.
