Oakridge Park, Vancouver’s ambitious new luxury and cultural destination, introduced the inaugural edition of The Front Row: Fashion Through the Ages. On October 15, 2026, the mixed-use development hosted an exclusive event celebrating the evolution of style.

The invite-only event was held within Oakridge Park’s expansive North Atrium. The evening brought together fashion enthusiasts, luxury retail representatives, cultural personalities, and invited guests. The celebration that extended well beyond traditional shopping. Canadian fashion editor, stylist, and creative personality Joe Zee served as host. Joe guided the audience through a retrospective of influential fashion silhouettes and designer expressions. The experience culminated in an intimate live performance by Grammy Award-winning musician John Legend.

However, The Front Row represented something more significant than a high-profile fashion event. The setting for The Front Row was particularly significant. Co-developed by QuadReal Property Group and Westbank, the destination reimagines the former Oakridge Centre property. The contemporary environment combines luxury retail, residential spaces, cultural programming, dining, and public amenities. Oakridge Park is attempting to establish a broader relationship between shopping and cultural participation. Its retail offering brings together recognized fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Prada, Miu Miu, Brunello Cucinelli, Moncler, and more. By transforming the North Atrium into a runway venue, Oakridge Park demonstrated how a retail environment could become a stage for creative expression.

The theme, Fashion Through the Ages, provided the evening with a historical foundation. The concept connected the elegance of earlier couture traditions with the visual experimentation of contemporary ready-to-wear. Models moved through the central runway wearing an assortment of luxury looks that reflected different expressions of fashion identity. An essential part of the evening’s identity came from its host, Joe Zee. He helped connect the runway’s historical concept with the broader meaning of fashion. Following the runway presentation, the evening transitioned into an intimate musical performance by John Legend. The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, pianist, and producer brought his recognizable musical style to the North Atrium. His performance provided a musical conclusion to an evening dedicated to fashion and creativity.
