American fashion house and historic British luggage manufacturer, Thom Browne and Globe-Trotter have introduced a new three-piece collection.
The assortment includes a Micro Case, Carry-On, and Large Check-In suitcase, each constructed using Globe-Trotter’s signature vulcanized fiberboard. An added features includes the finish fueled by a luxurious pebble-grain leather. Thom Browne’s recognizable red, white, and blue stripe appears across the exterior. Meanwhile, the interiors incorporate university-stripe Oxford cloth reminiscent of the designer’s classic shirting. Every piece is handcrafted in Hertfordshire, England, using production techniques that have remained closely connected to Globe-Trotter’s nineteenth-century origins. Each case requires approximately ten days of work and passes through 98 individual manufacturing processes.
While the fiberboard provides the structural foundation, pebble-grain leather introduces another dimension to the collection. The cases feature textured leather detailing across key exterior elements, including the corners and handles. The leather contributes visual contrast against the black body of the luggage. A visual signature made extremely recognizable is the Thom Browne red, white, and blue stripe. Positioned vertically across the black luggage, the detail introduces a controlled expression of color. The stripe communicates the designer’s identity while allowing the construction and materials to remain prominent.
The three released cases represent three unique traveling scenarios. The smallest piece in the collection is the Micro Case. Rather than functioning as conventional luggage, the design translates Globe-Trotter’s recognizable suitcase architecture into a compact everyday accessory. The Micro Case can be carried by hand or worn using a detachable leather shoulder strap. The Carry-On occupies the middle position within the collection. Designed for short journeys and weekend travel, the case brings together practical capacity and traditional elegance. Completing the collection is the Large Check-In. The model features a four-wheel configuration and an approximately 83-liter capacity, made for extended travel. The case also includes a dedicated protective cover featuring Thom Browne’s signature visual references.
