Music | Tune into Artist Jazz Cartier’s New Song “Switch”

• Toronto continues to display their talent with new artist like Jazz Cartier who has released “Switch,” the latest track from his forthcoming Marauding in Paradise project which is due out this fall. The diversity of Toronto influenced this track and speaks on the time Cartier spent living in Barbados, Atlanta, New England, Kuwait and other places as a kid, Jacuzzi La Fleur (his nickname, of course) is part of Toronto’s Get Home Safe crew who’s known for their underground parties in their eccentric, creative art space called “The Palace.” Most recently, “The Palace” was the location of The Weeknd’s new music video for “King Of The Fall.”

Jazz also recently teamed up with director Aaron A on the official music video for the project’s single “Set Fire,” which is a must-watch and can be viewed below. If you like what you hear, be sure to stay tuned for more information regarding the release of Marauding in Paradise.

• Exactly one week after the release of his NSFW video for “Often,” Toronto’s The Weeknd continues his visual onslaught with the second new music video this month. Dressed in his favorite pieces from the Supreme x The North Face Spring/Summer 2014 collection, “King of the Fall” sees Abel taking a stroll through his hometown, visiting random hot spots and exclusive night clubs along the way. Clearly The Weeknd has just revived himself from an explicit fun, the XO singer strolls through the streets of downtown Toronto until nightfall, ending up at an underground party surrounding by hot women and his tight-knit crew.  Fellow Canadian rapper Belly, aka Dablo Escobar, also makes an appearance in the melancholy clip. Beginning September 19 in Brooklyn, The Weeknd will be hitting the road for his King of the Fall tour with Jhené Aiko and ScHoolboy Q.

• With his King of the Fall tour with ScHoolboy Q and Jhené Aiko less than a month away, The Weeknd just released the official music video for his summer single, “Often.” Abel Tesfaye sets the provocative mood in the dark and mysterious video, staring dispassionately while disregarding the beautiful and half-naked women who peruse throughout his stylish hotel room. As the camera whirls around the Canadian crooner, the video seemingly jumps randomly through time as if to elude to the side effects of the many sleepless nights one experiences while on tour. Speaking of which, check out The Weeknd’s upcoming tour dates below.
