Enter the world of Alain Mion, a french musician part of a 1970s jazz collective called Cortex whose music has been heavily sampled and influential in crafting the “sound” for some of hip-hop’s biggest acts. Shedding light on his feelings on sampling as well as the financial aspect of the not-so-dirty-little secret in the musical genre, the film from Gasface is certainly enlightening and well put together.
