Music| @Traetwothree Returns w/ New EP “Long Story Short” featuring @therealsymba @sevyn & more

Returning after a series of vivid visuals, TraeTwoThree decided to allow fans to catch a full vibe with a brief EP dubbed “Long Story Short” featuring his leading singles ‘Outside Like This‘ and his latest single ‘Watch it Grow‘ which features the angelic Sevyn Streeter (watch above).

Fueled by vibrant production submerged in trap-basslines and Caribbean influences, Long Story Short, as a title and concept, are both perfectly displayed in this six song EP. Trae provides listeners with a series of signature sounds that tell a tale about finding love. Brilliantly, Trae recruits some R&B heavy hitters along with a new power player in Rap as well. Names like Sevyn Streeter, Pleasure P and Symba are seen adorning this EP with outstanding features.

To lead things off, Trae starts with a 90’s style serenade “Feel Good” that calls on vocalist Kalan.FrFr who joins in on this lusty-lyric listen that is dedicated to a beautiful lady that has caught the singers’ attention. This “feel good” track is followed by a solo single by Trae dubbed “Truthfully” which begins with a testifying sample that plays into the lyrics. This Jay The Great production steers Trae into a catchy cadence which is carried throughout the song. Digging into a smoother and more laidback R&B approach, Trae hits listeners with the renowned single “Outside Like This“. Deservingly so, this song has gained a buzz since the video released in February. Maintaining momentum, Trae decides to give the fans that more up-tempo energy in his follow-up “Energy” which on-sights the talent of Bay Area’s own Symba. The tandem gives their all & do everything on this Sir Charles, KP & Slice production BUT disappoint listeners. Giving listeners a chance to catch their breath, Trae returns to a classy rhythm & blues and tag teams “Watch It Grow” with the gracious Sevyn Streeter. From the audio to the visual, this song is brilliantly audio-architected and has some of the best writing you will hear on the EP. Cleverly, Trae ends the EP off with a single titled “L.O.V.E” which enlist the R&B phenom Pleasure P. A heart felt ballad from the two showcases Trae’s vocal range and abilities next to one of R&B’s favorites.
