Reverting back to a classic silhouette, Asics and Asphaltgold return to showcase their love and design brilliance issued out for the renowned GEL-DS trainer. The two design powerhouses reunite for a new take on one of Asics newest designs, the EX89.
Dubbed the ““Impromptu” collaboration, the two brands combine design notes through the reimagined the concept with a perspective dedicated from the music lens – specifically jazz music. Playing into the name ‘impromptu’, which pays homage to the impromptu nature of jazz music and performances, the structure of the shoe displays calm placements of fabrics, materials and colors. Nubuck, hairy suede and soft leather are featured on the upper while satin notes appear at the lining. Amongst these details, the lateral’s Asphaltgold tag and earth-toned palette make for a fancy collaborative finish.
