Lifestyle| The Macallan Celebrates 200 Years by Recruiting Bentley on Limited Whiskey Series

After 200 years of excellence in the spirits industry, Macallan has taken time out to develop a celebratory limited edition of their renowned single malt whiskey. Teaming with Bentley, this celebration release is dubbed The Macallan Horizon.

Detailing this landmark year, Macallan and Bentley presents The Macallan Horizon, which is a limited series of a classic rendition on the single malt whiskey offered in a customized horizontal bottle. Binding the brilliance of automotive excellence with exquisite whiskey brewing, the collaborators present a 180 degree-twist horizontal vessel. The gracious glass container is wrapped in an aluminum ribbon and is kept in a chestnut-colored, low-carbon leather sculpture. Bentley adds in a recycled copper frame along with an oak wood inlay.

The single malt whiskey is brilliantly blended from a six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks which produces this rich dried fruit and spice flavors aided by the oak and leather notes. The robust flavoring with the smooth distilled single malt whiskey makes for a lavish experience.

“We’ve spent years working with The Macallan through our partnership, taking time to craft this incredible first joint product that represents the best of both brands. Centered on innovative materials throughout that reflect our focus on the future, the end result – both the whisky and the vessel that contains it – are stunning, and represent a new benchmark for design, materials and quality in this space.”

Adrian Hallmark, Bentley’s Chairman and CEO shared

Available in a 70cl bottle, The Macallan Horizon can be purchased at The Macallan Estate Boutique.
