Rhode Island-based design studio O&G Studio has been busy with a new range of interior furniture. The renowned design brand presents Rill and Pedra, two new designs exemplifying O&G Studio’s mastery of abstracting natural inspirations to create innovative and timeless designs, rich with depth and texture.
The capsule series is inspired by natural and man-made landscapes while including hints of sea-inspired notes to the design and materials. Separated into to styles, The Rill and The Pedra play into the inspired themes while focusing on a specific interior object. The Pedra focus is on the ottoman and bench portion of the collection, while The Rill spearheads the console and side table items.
The Pedra Ottoman is an elegant, movable accent imagined for living rooms and lounge spaces. Its soft cushioned edges are supported by stout, turned hardwood legs with arhythmic bead motif. Originally imagined in sets of two or four, the Pedra Ottoman development gave way naturally to the Pedra Bench, which goes all in on the beaded aesthetic with not four but six legs to add character and texture to its profile. This bold design is right at home at the foot of a bed or nestled below a window, ideally suited for any cozy interior space.
The Rill Console and Side Table feature a gallery of wavy slats, their rhythmic form evoking the gentle ripples of a sunlit sea, its surface shimmering. Both variations pair their complex dimensional patterns with understated structures that frame and highlight the lively wave slats. The Console is designed to stand against a wall in an entryway or dining space, while the Side Table pairs with lounge and bedrooms.
