Cars| An Iconic Nissan Skyline GTS-R NISMO Group-A Is Up For Auction

In racing, the 1987 Nissan Skyline is one of the more revered pieces of Japanese motorsport history. Set for auction at the Bonhams Cars‘ The Scottsdale Auction, is the 1987 Nissan Skyline “Type HR31” GTS-R NISMO Group A which makes for a great addition for any collector.

Customized by Kazuyoshi Hoshino’s Impul/NISMO team, this GTS-R is completed with a rebuilt RB20DET-R engine by a NISMO engineering. The full restoration is flushed with a new gearbox, brake hydraulics and air jacks, preparing the car to hit any race-ready roads. This special edition has been stored away in a private collection for 30 years and is now set to go on the auction floor.

This beautifully restored GTS-R, which represents a significant milestone in Nissan’s motorsport history, sold for $201,600 USD.
