Architectual firm Jiangjie Office, spearheads the latest renovation to a classy cafe dubbed B131 Cafe nestled in the heart of the bustling city of Hangzhou.
The space was envisioned to be a complimentary space to an adjacent art museum, the BAC Art Community, and previews the brilliance of compact and lightweight structure. This warm welcoming haven is the result of artistic approach meshed with a balanced spatial experience. Steeped in geometric precision, the perfectly square cafe is defined by the preciseness and aesthetic. The venue is placed on a lightweight frame that is then melded to anodized aluminum panels. With deliberate intent, the materials added aid the lightweight theme and style contributing to the visually light and airy appearance.
The centerpiece of the location is the attraction point meant for visitors to engage in casual conversation while taking in the surrounding urban landscape. Through its deliberate spatial relationships, the café maintains an ever-shifting balance between enclosure and openness, offering a harmonious integration of architecture, nature and urban life.
