Design| Million Goods Unlock Their Doors In Brooklyn Fueled By Hi-Fi, Wine and Fashion

Th Brooklyn based retail house Million Goods, has decided to open a second location fueled by high fashion, hi-fi and natural wines. The second home is nestled in Fort Greene in a newly renovated 2,100 square foot space sitting inside a landmark venue.

The founders, Drew Kaufmann and Matt Reyer focused on the angle of adaptive reuse, utilizing the original tin ceilings, fireplaces, wood floors and spiral staircase. Rather then gutting the space, the tandem brilliant re-purposed the many built-in features. Brilliantly, the space is divided into three spaces consisting of about 700 square feet per area. The venue’s breakdown consist of a bar and listening room on the lower level, a retail floor upstairs and a garden at the rear. The original staircase is the connecting point to the flowing space without interruption from the entrance to back exit. The interior aesthetic maintains a calming sense with the pecan finished woodwork, honed stone surfaces and lime-wash paint. Branded features include subtle details such as the Louis Poulsen PH 5 pendants and AJ Eklipta wall lamps. The retail space offers brands such as Nicholas Daley, OAMC Peacemaker, Soulland, Rold Skov, LC23, Berner Kühl, Ranra and ssstein. The wine bar portion of the venue focuses on the tasting of France with the wine collection that is served by the glass. Meanwhile, the garden houses natural tree while mixing the design work inspired by Brazilian Brutalism and Japanese garden design.
