Art| Gallery All Presents The Intense Theme of ‘The Intersection of Art and Design’

Shanghai’s Gallery All takes on the age old battle between Art and Design with their latest collection for show dubbed ‘First Of All‘ . Curated by Violet Wang, “First of All” gathers together a renown clique of artists, designers and art collectives, who ponder on the potential found in intersecting themes.

“The creations in this exhibition imply a fresh artistic experience at a time when the visual has generally become people’s primary reality,”

– Violet Wang stated.

Member’s of the list of celebrated figures included, James Jean who presents a gleaming sculpture titled Descendent. The sculpture measured in at10-feet tall, the Taiwanese-American artist depicts an upside-down child cast in mirror-polished stainless steel. Jean maintains his mantra with this piece, being the process of artmaking can be equated to floating in between the worlds of fantasy and reality.

This show also includes amazing talents like Chulan Kwak, Daishi Luo, Hua Wang, and many others. The exhibition will be on view at Gallery All until March 6, 2022.

• The renown art festival POW! WOW! has decided to return to Asia for another great art induced celebration. After one series in Hong Kong and four consectutively successful editions in Hawaii, POW! WOW! visits Taiwan with a cluster of creative talent. Taking over walls all over Taipei, Taiwan are the offerings from an amazing list of artist. Included in the line-up are artist like James Jean, Aaron De La Cruz, INSA, Madsteez, Apex, Rone, Sheryo, Yok, Woes, Skewville and Brendan Monroe, who painted alongside the likes of burgeoning Taiwanese talents like Reach, Mr. Ogay, Colasa Seazk, Saym Dabs, Bobo and more. Venue walls all over Taipei made for great canvases to place the these offerings. The POW! WOW! team toured around popular locales including the Taipei Zoo, Tungnan University, Songshan Cultural Park, Tatung University, Ximen and beyond. Enjoy the visuals!

• Jasper Wong and a list of creative minds that help breathe life into the annual festival known as POW! WOW! have decided to release a trailer for this years festival held in Taiwan. Last we covered on POW! WOW!, they were hosting the event in the paradise of Hawaii but now the Art filled event travels to the other side of the glode and stops in Taiwan. Taking over the city of Taipei, POW! WOW! will be touring around several of the city’s popular destinations, including the Taipei Zoo, Treasure Hill, Zhongshan Metropolitan Mall, and Songshan Cultural Park.
