Footwear| @RonnieFieg and @Diadoraofficial Pay Homage w/ ’80s-Inspired Intrepid Sneaker

Rio 2016 Olympics held many surprises and memorable moments that cannot be summed up into words, so designer and Kith owner Ronnie Fieg and renown footwear brand Diadora decided to take another route to commemorate the momentous occasion. The collaboration revives the Diadora Intrepid model and meets colorways from the Track Club that support the “From Seoul to Rio” initiative.

Reverting back to a retro silhouette and making use of track clubs colors from the ’80s, the Intrepid is layered in colors such as teal, light orange, washed navy, pale pink and soft grey. The upper features rugged pebbled nubuck met with a lush pigskin suede forefoot. The tongue and heel catch the Diadora branding and pulls offer increased accessibility, other details include a color-blocked trail-running outsole, asymmetrical “From Seoul to Rio” footbed, two sets of multicolored woven laces, and custom packaging.

This collaboration was set at 500 pairs handcrafted in Italy, the Ronnie Fieg x Diadora Intrepid releases this Saturday, August 20 at KITH stores and at 11 a.m. EST. Retail is $180 USD.
