
Growing auction event dubbed Bring A Trailer, is responsible for the most recent siting of a historical automotive design. Due for an upcoming auction, is a customized BMW M1 which is a part of only 400 road-ready examples that were ever produced.
This rendition was a designed mastered and completed in June 1980 and was delivered to Europe. In 1987, the vehicle is then imported into the U.S and this specific silhouette has been managed and cared for by the current owner since 2016. This BMW M1 went through some recent modifications, including a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic refresh in 2017. An interior look of what’s under the hood consist of a 3,453cc M88 straight-six engine, known for its Kugelfischer-Bosch fuel injection, six individual throttle bodies and dry-sump lubrication. Externally, the mold is adorned in a fully white finish that is detailed with a tri-color racing stripe design mimicking the BMW Motorsport aesthetic.
This BMW M1 features just over 13,000 miles on the odometer and has been bid up to $276,000 USD to date, with just days left on the auction clock.
