Houston’s own Lone Star, Travis Scott, returns to his visual release barrage that stems from his most recent studio album release of UTOPIA. Adding to his series of music videos, Travis recruits none other than Emily Ratajkowski, who is drafted to play his primary love interest in the visual. Maintaining his circus like aesthetic, this trippy visual is a back-and-forth between what we desire and what we have.
Sharing Travis’ metal space throughout the video are both Emily Ratajkowski & actress Anok Yai, who alternate as Scott’s current interest. The lyrical sentiment is that of a man torn between two worlds and desiring to be with a previous love while enjoying a current one. Lyrics such as “Upstairs is like a low, my new b***** be the best (let’s go) / I’m lookin’ at her, when her startin’ to turn to you (her) / Now you startin’ to f*** up my mind, is it you, is it her?”, share this sentiment exactly.
“I KNOW” was directed by Dave Meyers and Scott himself, as yet another outstanding piece in the UTOPIA film collection.
