Celebrating 150 years of luxury Masonry work, Piaget unveils the revitalized reiteration of their renowned golden Polo 79, which embodies glamour and technicality.
This almost identical recreation of the 1979 Polo watch, the new iteration shares the body model as well as the design notes almost to completion with small changes. Maintaining the familiar and nostalgic touches help lend to the name matching the very recognizable design. The design notes that seem to remain consist of the bracelet, the dial case design, the trademarked gadroon pattern and several technical touches. One major feature is the 18k yellow gold, which doesn’t exceed a weight of 200 grams.
Historically, the Polo 79 was advertised as “the world’s ultimate sports watch” while providing an opulent design but maintaining its technical advances like being waterproof and shockproof. Simple upgrades such as the 1200P1 Manufacture self-winding movement alongside its intricately crafted caliber that is visible on the open case back, all encased within its slim 38mm case.
