TDE promised a year full of amazing music releases, and helming the musical journey is Schoolboy Q with a fusillade of films featuring single releases from his upcoming album Blue Lips. Within just two weeks, Schoolboy released 5 music videos including ‘Blueslides‘, ‘Back In Love‘ feat. Devin Malik, and ‘Yeern 101‘ which all came accompanied by vivid visuals. Adding to the list are two new singles “Love Birds” featuring Devin Malik & Lance Skiiiwalker and also “Cooties“.
Both singles receive dope introspective visuals that showcase many sides of Schoolboy and the world he has basked in during his 3-year hiatus. All the visuals are very cohesive as it plays as one long video shoot and were directed and shot by Schoolboy and director James Edward. Maintaining the momentum, Q offers up “Cooties” which displays Schoolboy in the foyer of his lavish house in the hills and he delivers witty word play about his progress from bad habits and negative people to a more focused and peaceful existence. Hours apart, Schoolboy followed up with “Love Birds” which features Lance Skiiiwalker who basically steals the show with his hypnotic vocals. Love Birds is a soft ballad brilliantly delivered by the crooner Lance. The title gives insight to the intention of the record as Lance and Q are seen spilling their hearts out about the wrong doings they are guilty of during relationships.
With an expected release date of March 1st, Schoolboy Q is making sure fans get a great idea of what’s to come.
