Footwear| Mercer Amsterdam Debut Their ReRun Silhouette with Cactus Infusion

Sneaker designing powerhouse Mercer Amsterdam, is revisiting their popular silhouette dubbed ReRun, which was introduced as the ReRun Pineapples. That previous release explored the infusion of plat-based materials that they used to construct that rendition. This time around, Mercer Amsterdam is debuting their ReRun Cactus, which features cactus leather for the structuring on this iteration.

Assisted in the project by Desserto, the ReRun Cactus is a masterful example of craftsmanship and agricultural consciousness steeped in the brand belief of comfort and sustainability. This soft, lightweight shoe is PETA-approved and extremely fashionably aesthetically pleasing.

This release features two models of the ReRun remakes produced by the cactus structuring; there is the Re-Run and the Re-Run Max offered in Soft White/Cactus Green and Soft White/Cocoa Brown colorways. Additionally, the shoes have varying soles and stack designs but are both comprised of 40% cactus, 60% bio-PU with 100% cotton-infused cactus. More familiar fabrics adorn the remainder of the sneaker such as mesh which makes up the insole and outsole. Even down to the laces, the environment is considered being made from recycled bio-based materials.

The Re-Run retails for €169 EUR (around $183 USD), while the Re-Run Max is priced at €179 EUR (approximately $195 USD). Both models are now available to shop at Mercer Amsterdam’s online shop
