New York’s own Aime Leon Dore presents an amazing installation in the form of a short film dedicated to their latest collaboration with Porsche. Debuting their collaborative effort on a 1986 944 coupe that began production in the 80s to 1991.
The short film starts with a brief cameo from rapper Action Bronson, who is spotted in a local diner and is seen passing a set of Porsche keys and a handwritten address to popular Aime Leon Dore model. The dinner scene ends and jumps to the unveiling of the Porsche 944 from under a car cover. After a license plate change, we watch the Porsche 944 make its way too its final placement in the video which was a private plane hangar. The journey travels across what seems to be New York based highways and is meet with a brief interlude held by a NYC undercover officer how seems to be infatuated with the car.
The given details of the car include “dookie” brown leather interior, a “Leon Dore” badging and ALD bespoke decals along with a 5-speed, 2.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, boasting 217 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. This series of Porsche design was the departure from the 911’s rear-engine configuration. Added details include stand-out gold 5-hole wheels providing more luxury and detailing.
