Design| O&G Studio Hit NYC To Debut New ‘Anthology’ Exhibit & Book Release

Over the weekend, during NYCxDesign, Rhode Island-based furniture design house O&G Studio delivers an illustrious series of chair designs during their exhibit. Hosted by New York Times’ own Julie Lasky, the exhibition offered visitors a live panel Q&A, a look at the retrospective collection of unique chair designs and a first time chance to get their hands on the newly released studio produced book.

During the event series, O&G Studio & NYT’s Julie Lasky discussed the brand, the chairs on the display, and the newly released book with O&G Studio Founder Jonathan Glatt. Their talk was focused on O&G Studio’s new Chair Compendium, a book showcasing the entire line of O&G Studio Windsor chairs, stools, settees and benches developed by the studio from the last 15 years. Notable styles showcased include The Colt High-Back Arm Chair and Aquinnah Side Chair.

The collection dubbed ‘Anthology’ offered by O&G consisted of an immaculate series featuring 38 styles of chair, stool, bench and settee, each available in a range of woods and O&G’s distinct pallette of stain finishes. Offered in two wood choice available in eighteen colors, the offerings give great detail to the craftsmanship of O&G. Each piece is saturated in the O&G finishes which opens up the range to wide selection of applications while the two wood types, ash & maple, add the element of texture. Throughout the series you will take in the distinct details offered like edges that appear crisp but yet smooth & soft to the touch.
