With half of 2024 underway, the remainder of the year going into next year seems to be a great time for Television and Movie releases and reloads.
Leading the excitement this week surrounds the new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the Ridley Scott’s renowned Gladiator blockbuster movie. Dubbed ‘Gladiator II’, the upcoming major feature film is set several decades after the original flick. Encouraging the excitement are A-list actors such as Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Paul Mescal and many other heavy hitting actors. The storyline grows from the falling of Maximus and the feud with the then emperor Marcus Aurelius.
Verus, the grandson of former emperor Marcus Aurelius and the son of current Emperor Commodus is living in Numidia outside of the Roman Empire with his wife and child. An invasion led by General Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal) results in Verus being taken prisoner and forced to fight as a gladiator.
Offering simply a glimpse into the Gladiator universe, the trailer gives the highlights of the riveting tensions, battle themes and all out action. Due November 22nd, Gladiator II will be available at all participating theaters.

Adding to the collection of amazing series, Apple TV+ offers up their next season for their critically acclaimed series dubbed ‘Severance’. What premiered in 2022 has seem to take nearly three years to master a whole new season. Expected January 17, 2o25, the series picks up from the cliffhanging last season finale.
The trailer delivers subtle details for what is to come while maintaining some mystery. With simple flashes of newly discovered parts of the office and action shots that tease the anticipated season. For true Severance fans, even a glimpse of the antagonist Harmony Cobel (played by Patrica Arquette) can also be spotted. Rounding off the trailer is a look at Gwendoline Christie’s new character who ominously declares, “You should have left.”

Offered up by Netflix is the infectious series about a collection of dysfunctional, time-traveling, superhero family that goes by the name The Umbrella Academy.
Season 3, which premiered September 2022, was yet another apocalyptic ending season as the Kugelblitz were working to end the world. With a shocking universe saving split-up between the hero’s, the season left off with an eerie ending showcasing the Hargreaves name in a spooky manner.
The newly released trailer opens with the announcement of another apocalypse. No big surprise there, but the season picks up six years after the previous reset, which saved the world.
The final season of The Umbrella Academy is set to be released on August 8 through Netflix.
