Nashville, Tennessee singer/songwriter and now center of their own docuseries, corook is gearing up for their highly anticipated debut album dubbed ‘committed to a bit‘. Leading the roll-out has been a super immersive and vulnerable docuseries that has been assisting single releases from the upcoming project. Today we received the latest single offering from corook titled “Crumbs”.
The contemplative and deeply personal new song is joined by the fourth chapter in corook’s ongoing series of music video docushorts, crumbs (episode 4), streaming now at YouTube. The very melodic and acoustic tune is fueled with heavy-heartfelt lyrics dedicated to the people that have shaped her inner understanding and personal experiences for the good and bad.
“I wrote ‘crumbs’ as a reflection on my inner critic and the critical parent from whom I inherited that voice .. It’s the first glimpse into the singer-songwriter side of my debut album. The most touching feedback I’ve received to the song is from parents today who say things like, ‘This is helping me become a better parent,’ or, ‘I hope my kids never feel this way’ It gives me hope for the next generation to grow up receiving the love they truly deserve. ‘crumbs’ also serves as the soundtrack for Episode 4 of my narrated video series, where I share about the people who truly love me – my chosen family. When I showed up to film, I was genuinely surprised by my friends, who had prepared a video listing all the reasons they love me. Needless to say, I’ve been crying about it ever since.”

The album is comprised of Crumbs as well as two previous releases blankets (episode 2) and ballerina (episode 3), which also are accompanied by docushorts.
