Footwear| New Balance Releases New Porsche Inspired 2002rs

Porsche’s in-house expert interior designer Justin Placek teams up with sneaker designer Kid River to develop a pair of Porsche-inspired New Balance 2002r sneakers.

The collaboration aids the creative journey of both Placek & River alike as the release is a highlight of their works with major partners like Porsche, Rolls-Royce and others. The latest bespoke rendition of New Balance 2002r’s were designed to match Placek’s client’s request. The release is accompanied with a bag that also matches the design patterns which is offered by his own designer brand dubbed HANTRITT. The sneakers feature a base layer of deconstructed off-white leather, dark green leather accents and a touch of black. This designed referred to as Porsche Pepita Houndstooth in black and green with a white base.

Based on social posts and research, it looks like there will be many additional designs in the future, but these are considerably a one-of-one at the moment.
