Design| Louis Vuitton Open Their Doors To New NYC Store w/ Cafe, Chocolate Shop & more

In the heart of New York City (on 57th Street), French fashion house Louis Vuitton opens their five-story Art-Deco inspired flagship store location. The long-awaited venue which underwent a five-year renovation process which finished with special features such as a Cafe and a Chocolate shop.

Innovation and design were the center-focus for the development of the new location which is notice from the entrance atrium which houses towering Courrier Lozine 90 trunk sculptures developed with OMA’s Shohei Shigematsu. The aesthetic carries on through the New Louis Vuitton café, chocolate shop, culinary concept and exclusive capsule collections which reside on each floor. The floor-by floor breakdown goes as follows: leather goods take over the first floor, womenswear owns the second floor while menswear takes over the third. The fourth floor is dedicated to the first US LV Cafe and Chocolate shop. The fifth floor is rounds out the lavish location with a private retail lounge spaces and the label’s homeware collections.

Features throughout the five floors include oversized murals which highlight signature artists collaborations including those with Richard Prince, Yayoi Kusama, Supreme, Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse. For the Cafe, the menu is designed by renowned chefs Christophe Ballanca and Mary George who are the minds behind the culinary experience here. The LV Chocolate Shop features a slate of classic chocolate bars, hazelnut bonbons and functioning Vivienne-shaped music boxes.
