Fueled By Ramen band ONE OK ROCK have unveiled the much-anticipated official music video for their recently released, new single “Dystopia.” The popular pop-rock record has continued to grow on the global audience of OOR and now receives a dystopian themed visual.
The music video was directed by Kazuma Kitada with the theme of creating a dystopian future together with AI. Incorporating generative artificial intelligence, the video visualizes a world where AI surpasses human intelligence. Because the question of how to coexist with AI in the future still remains unanswered, the band’s hope is that the video continues to spark further discussion.
The brilliantly fused visual was well scripted as it walks lead vocalist Taka through a Terminator style storyline as the band seeks to escape the watchful eye of the robot-authority. The special effects utilize truly enhance the action-packed video while the specialized shots focused on the band have notable AI features. The idea of a future meshing artificial life with our own is brought to life in this visual and the song is a perfect match.
