Saucony returns with yet another collaboration with Bisso, who have had much design success in the past. This go-round, the tandem delivers a new offering featuring the spicy Saucony Shadow 5000 model dubbed the “Bondamanjak“. From the name to design, this iteration showcases support for the Caribbean culture and the strength of Caribbean women.
Very selective on this silhouette, this pair of Saucony’s feature premium materials, the upper boasts a mish-mash of suede, perforated suede, smooth leather as well as elements of Madras. Discrete details appear as the embroidered SB (Selecta Bisso) logo, “Bondamanjak” inscription and a stylized chili pepper on the tongue label highlight the cultural inspiration. Decorated on the insole is a a chili pepper print, while the teal blue lining pays tribute to the crystal-clear waters of Guadeloupe, adding to the cultural references.
Rounding off the deliver, the sneakers are packaged inside a special box crafted of a wood-effect finish and colorful background showcasing the Bondamanjak chili peppers. The Saucony x Bisso Shadow 5000 “Bondamanjak” are set to release March 1st via Selecta Bisso retailing at €150 EUR (approx. $157 USD).
