Hailing from Nashville, is rising alt-pop artist Knox who is finally presenting his anxiously awaited debut album, Going, Going, Gone, out now via Atlantic Records.
Knox set the stage for this major release with the recent fan favorite single “Pick Your Poison.” Speaking to the audience demand for his music, it has already generated over 3.1 million total streams and counting. The 16-track body of work illuminates the scope of his signature sound. “Now & Then” ignites the record with a propulsive bassline and steady claps. As usual, Knox holds nothing back on the hook, “Don’t you call me crying, don’t apologize, don’t come out the woodwork looking for a ride.” Then, there’s the title track “Going, Going Gone.” He leans into pop-punk with his own panache. Its fast-paced drive reaches an emotional apex during a lovestruck and chantable chorus, “Is it a bird, is it a plane, or is it an angel taking my heart away?” Meanwhile, “Head First” sees him once again join forces with frequent collaborator Bilmuri. Unpredictable guitar underlines another irresistible singalong, “If I’m going down, I’m going head first.” However, “Win Some, Lose Somebody” represents another level of introspection. He processes the implications and personal repercussions of a life in the spotlight, “You want to wake up with everything you need, but when you win some, you lose somebody.”
Aiding the major album release is Knox’s headlining tour “Going Going Gone Tour“, that gets underway April 12 at Washington, DC’s famed 9:30 Club and then continues through a May 10 homecoming at Cannery Hall’s Mainstage in Nashville, TN.
