Audi has recently unveiled their latest concept series based on one of the brand’s most successful silhouettes in Audi history.
Presenting a potential new addition to their catalog, Audi showcased their “Concept C” a re-imagined homage to the TT series that is infamous in the car brand’s collection. This concept expands the design teams intent and uses this display as the launch pad for all car concepts across their fleet. The exclusive look was offered in Milan, Italy where details are explained and shared on each feature added to the rare ride. The vehicle meshes years of auto-making excellence into one crisp clean design fueled by updated technology and sleek aesthetics formulated to produce top-tier performance.
Starting the new design out is the featured front bumper with its “vertical frame” – the front-facing grille that has over time evolved through Audi’s vehicles but originated as far back as the Auto Union Type C from 1936. The four ring placement atop of a tall, vertical grille structure plays brilliantly into the elegant touches while paying homage to vehicles like the 2004 Audi A6 which also featured the emblem within the vertical grille. Adds from the renowned TT are debuted within the design via the two-seater layout. Accompanied by a retractable hard-top roof, this overall add delivers a sleek look and design to the Concept C, providing a luxurious touch. Furthering the TT influence on the Concept C is the wide rear fenders house 21” wheels and tires, which have an awesome updated design. Headlights and taillights are dynamic and change upon use – day time and night time – to give the Concept C almost a set of eyes with a dual identity.
The term to best describe the interior of the Concept C is “Clarity” as the inside of this Audi concept is a great example of minimalism and cleanliness. Simplicity and functionality are also keyword features that are visibly placed such as the uncluttered dashboard, which is made up of a fixed digital gauge cluster, infotainment “tablet” that neatly folds away when not needed, and a touch-sensitive icon bar for quick access functions.
With no concrete dates for available purchasing, Audi proclaims the Concept C is going into production, as well as it being the first step towards a new design language. Stay tuned for more updates.
