Since the releasing of the official release, the five-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated and multi-platinum artist Kehlani honors her chart-topping single “Folded” with the release of the Folded Homage Pack. The special project features new re-imaginings of “Folded” by R&B icons Toni Braxton, Brandy, JoJo, Mario, Ne-Yo, and Tank, each bringing their own signature soul to the celebrated anthem.
Following the success of her stripped-down rendition “(un)Folded”, Kehlani continues to celebrate the song’s extraordinary run. The Folded Homage Pack re-imagines one of 2025’s defining R&B songs through the lens of six legends, underscoring the song’s timelessness and Kehlani’s place in a lineage of fearless, emotionally resonant storytellers. In no specific order, these remixes of ‘Folded’ take on feelings and vibes of their own starting with JoJo‘s rendition which showcases the songstresses vocal range and skillful writing ability. Mario’s edition revisits an era in R&B that resembles that early 2000 tone and playful wordplay. Ne-Yo classically brings a one of a kind pen to the writing session for this remix. Notable range champions and R&B icons, Toni and Tank both deliver the most soulful renditions of the re-imagined collection. Brandy by far had the most anticipated remake but to many of our surprise, her rendition doesn’t include a custom verse but is adorned with Brandy’s reworked hook.
The new project arrives as Kehlani celebrates another remarkable year. Her fourth full-length album, CRASH, earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album, while the breakout single “After Hours” was nominated for Best R&B Performance and has surpassed 277 million streams.
