Celebrating 90 years of premium craftsmanship, is renowned brand Yoshida & Co., who is unveiling a series of never before seen pieces from the fashion and design houses archives. The soft exhibition dubbed “Everyday is a new beginning”, pays homage to the brand’s founder, Yoshida Kichizo, who has etched out a legacy of fine design.
This short exhibition showcases a hand-full of unique pieces that include handcart Kichizo used to sell bags post-war, a bag crafted for Akira Kurosawa’s film “High and Low” and Kichizo’s signature horseshoe-shaped purse and trunk case. A coveted pieces in this exhibit is the exclusive silkscreened posters by Tadanori Yokoo, specifically designed for the 90th anniversary. A list of limited edition items will also be made available for purchase at the opening of the exhibition.
The short exhibition will run for three days from November 14th to the 17th at the Kudan House. Reservations are required and can be made on Yoshida & Co.’s website.
