Red Bull Advanced Technologies has officially unveiled the final production design of their anticipated RB17, a F1 hypercar that showcases the brilliant engineering mind of legendary designer Adrian Newey. The hybrid V-10 hypercar is his farewell gift to the world of high-performance machinery.
The RB17 is “form following function,” which featuring an aggressive carbon-fiber monocoque and a sculpted aerodynamic profile capable of generating nearly two tons of downforce. At the heart of this beast sits a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated V10 engine that screams to a staggering 15,000 RPM. This powertrain, paired with a sophisticated hybrid system, delivers over 1,200 horsepower to a vehicle that weighs less than 900 kilograms. The result is a machine that Red Bull claims will deliver Formula 1-level lap times in the hands of a capable private owner.
With only 50 units slated for production each expected to be priced upwards of $6 million USD, the RB17 is an exclusive entry into the Red Bull racing family. Owners will receive a bespoke driver development program, including access to Red Bull’s elite simulators and track-side support.
