Art| Introducing Artistic Duo, PichiAvo, As They Gear Up For Their Upcoming Spain Exhibition

Recognized for their ability to merge painting and sculpture in urban environments, PichiAvo takes an innovative approach to their artistic fusion. A balanced combination of classical art and the most contemporary urban artistic expression can be identified in their work. From the outset, they rejected artistic individuality, instead joining forces to create a truly unique body of work that speaks a distinctly urban language—both in the streets and in the studio.

With a educational background from Fine Arts and Design, the tandem connected at the Valencia’s graffiti scene, which lead them to join forces in 2007. Moving forward, they would work on developing joint projects, pursuing an unremitting search for a style of their own. Many experimental stages appeared in their process before they reached a point where they felt the need to express themselves through what defines them most today: the fusion of graffiti and classical art.

Today, the duo work both outside and inside the studio, in painting, sculpture and installation, embracing a wide and versatile range of material and painterly approaches. PichiAvo’s career has attained artistic recognition and popularity on an international scale, establishing them among the most prominent artists on the current urban art scene.

Artists Juan Antonio & Alvaro better known as PichiAvo, are gearing up for their most recent exhibitions including “Per Ofrenar” (“To Make an Offering”), for the Fallas of Valencia, Spain (March 15–19, 2026), and Mural of Athena in Athens, Greece (April 10–19, 2026).
