
Soho House proudly announces a new Tokyo segment of their illustrious brand with the unveiling of their first-ever fresh-facing member’s only location settled in the heart of the Aoyama District. Entering the Japanese market, the renowned VIP-style brand opens a 75,000-square-foot space in a building near Omotesando, with panoramic viewpoints of Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji.
The new location houses two floors of club space, a wellness studio, and 42 guest bedrooms ranging from “Cosy” to “Extra Large.” The house’s aesthetic plainly represents the correlation between East & West, as the interior fuses western modern designs with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. Signature features that are noted start with the hand-crafted reception desk from Kyoto lacquer by Makino Urushi matched with the walls adorned in handmade washi paper by KAMISM. The aesthetic expands further as the bedrooms sport parquet flooring inspired by tatami patterns and upcycled soft furniture crafted from vintage kimono fabrics. The spa based experience is viewed on the 14th floor of the building where the 4,000-square-foot infinity-style pool that is lined with tailored indigo and white TAJIMI tiles from Gifu.
The full exclusive experience provided by Soho House is rounded out with the culinary extension offered by the House Brasserie and Club spaces that provides guest European comfort foods fueled by local favorites featuring Edomae-style sushi counter that is ran by head chef Kunihiro Shinohara. Added features of the menu include Prawn Scotch Egg “okonomiyaki style” and a Sticky Toffee Pudding reimagined “taiyaki style” with Okinawan caramel. Soho House Tokyo is now open and accepting members for visits.
