Fashion| First-Ever Lab-Grown T-Rex Leather Handbag Offered by Enfin Levé

Avant-garde techwear brand Enfin Levé had discovered a way to bring pre-historic biology and modern day fashion together with their newly announced lab-grown accessory. Herald by designer Michal Hadas, the brand unveils a new luxury handbag crafted from the world’s first lab-grown T-Rex Leather. Utilizing 65-million-year-old dinosaur fossils, the material is formed from a reconstructed collagen sequence which delivers a deep-textured material that re-imagines the exotic skins for marketplace usage.

This project sees a collaboration between biotech innovators Lab-Grown Leather Ltd. and genomic engineering firm The Organoid Company, as the tandem of the scientific team extracts a blueprint from fossilized T. rex DNA. Crafted in a lab-based environment, the process utilizes a sequence that cultivates a real-living leather cell based product. The T-Rex Leather showcases a serious technical performance that is free from chemical harm but instead replicates the unique signature of the once apex predator.

The presentation of the newly developed pre-historic product, the release gains support from creative agency VML, as they highlight the multi-use material that is offered in an apparel piece. Enfin Levé is notable for combining unique materials with the brand’s signature silhouettes and products. This release continues the furthering of the brand ethos and while unlocking a new option in fabric choice.
