GRAMMY award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer, Syd, has returned with yet another single ahead of her highly anticipated album “Beard”. The new single “2 Many Days”, Syd chooses a slower-tempo ballad approach that reminds listeners and fans about Syd’s outstanding writing alongside her amazing vocal ability.
With crisp vocals laid over a smooth, pulsing beat, “2 Many Days” is a nostalgic look back at her early career, and a celebration of her drive and hard work which formed her into the R&B superstar we know her as today. She references her beginnings on MySpace and creating music in the studio in her driveway, contrasted with a diaristic reckoning of a complicated relationship with success and fame. This single is a brilliant lead up to the upcoming album. Beard is co-produced by Syd, and features friends and collaborators by the likes of Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, Blu June, and Jordan Ward. It’s a true coming-of-age album that documents the R&B innovator’s evolution as an artist and as a human.
