Since gaining support from Country Mega-acts like Jelly Roll, the rising Country Music star known as Sunny Black continues to build his momentum since releasing his last single “Lonely” last month, with a new 3-pack EP dubbed “Single Wide“.
Co-written by Sunny with some of Nashville’s finest songwriters, the EP – the title of which pays homage to Black’s humble beginnings growing up in North Carolina – includes the lead track, “Bad Idea,” alongside “Pretty Brown Eyes” and “Breaking Even.” Starting from the first guitar strum, the short EP is a Masterclass in making quality traditional country music. ‘Bad Idea’ is your classic out-on-the town themed single with a knee slapping tempo and some fun-fueled lyrics. Sunny takes a more sentimental approach with the next single “Pretty Brown Eyes”, where he shares heart-felt, love-exchanging lyrics. Of the three songs, Pretty Brown Eyes is more of a character record that is likely to stand the rest of time and will most likely be a fan favorite. “Breaking Even” maintains a slower tempo and some hearty lyrics that gives a much more introspective approach to writing for Sunny.
Sunny is currently introducing audiences to the songs of Single Wide on his first major US live schedule, traveling as special guest on 3x GRAMMY® award-winner Jelly Roll’s The Little ASS Shed Tour 2026.
