Design| NOT A HOTEL Aoshima Expands with Two New Villa Designs

NOT A HOTEL takes to their renowned beachfront location dubbed Aoshima that sits on the coast of Miyazaki, with two new villa concepts. Dubbed the CHILL 2.0 and COAST, the newly designed spaces are from the mind of Shin Ohori of GENERAL DESIGN, who was responsible for the original venues which provides a consistency to the design.

This new evolution of the flagship resort is dedicated to the theme of “house of the horizon,” with the CHILL 2.0 room that is a third-level maisonette design that hyper-focuses on the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The space is built to accommodate six guests who have access to two ocean-view bedrooms, outdoor space is a massive 21-meter infinity pool, and a floating outdoor living area with a sunken sofa and fireplace. Guests gain this lavish experience of these amenities along with a seamless bath, sauna, and cold plunge system that ensures a continuous flow of wellness and tranquility. As for the COAST design, this duplex portion covers the first two floors and accommodates four guests. Places on the signature oceanfront plot, this house merges the concept of “SURF” and “GARDEN”, which are also the room names associated with this space. Inside, COAST boasts soaring 3.2-meter-high ceilings in the living room, establishing a profound sense of depth and openness that complements the tropical environment.

The tandem spaces are being made available along with more details, all found on NOT A HOTEL AOSHIMA’s official website.
