New Balance has unveiled a vibrant new colorway dubbed “Yellow/Red” for their iteration of its retro-inspired 983 runner. The new rendition of the multi-layer pair boosts features like exposed cushioning elements and high-visibility paneling.
In short, the design pairs an olive mesh upper with pale yellow and lime overlays alongside red ABZORB SBS cushioning pods. Subtle gray accents adorn the laces, inner lining, and reflective “N” logos, giving balance to the neon color choices. Additional reflective silver-white detailing extends onto the heel counters for enhanced low-light visibility. At the bottom of the sneakers is the red accents that are highlighted on the heel and frame the exposed ABZORB SBS cushioning pods.
The New Balance 983 “Yellow/Red” will be released on October 1, 2026, for $160 USD via NewBalance.com and select retailers.
