Renowned rapper Aminé returns to New Balance for yet another collaboration dubbed the Biblioteca 2000 on yet another one of the brand’s popular silhouettes. After previously taking to New Balance’s 740 & 610 designs, Aminé has shifted his focus to the ABZORB 2000, crafting a new custom iteration.
The ABZORB 2000, a very popular design in the early 2000 for its ABZORB cushioning and ABZORB SBS pods, is gaining a custom Colorway and New branded details. The candy green Colorway is also featured with glow-in-the-dark sole units and a high-gloss finish. The sleek upper design brilliantly flows into the technically built lower meshing the comfort and technology with the attractive design flow.
Aside from the style and design, Aminé gives meaning to the pair by promoting his local Portland based library. In a recent Instagram post, Aminé said “Please donate a book to our local Biblioteca located at 207 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR. Donations will be open till September 10th – tag me in a story/post of your proof of donation for a free pair,”
The Aminé x New Balance Biblioteca 2000’s are expected October 3rd via CLBN on Laylo but the price tag has yet to be revealed.
