After an anticipation build-up from a teasing message weeks ago, Hip-Hop artists Amine has finally unveiled his latest collaboration with New Balance. As a musician, actor and seasoned sneaker designer, Amine presents his most recent design which is dedicated to his high school which help set him on the road to his music career.
The vibrantly colored BTEE740 sneakers pay homage to Benson Tech, where Amine went to High School. The school’s colors are the chosen colorway for the new 740’s which are wrapped in striking royal blue and orange colors. The writing “BTEE” is placed midsole with notable school signage placed on the heel and tongue. Furthering the tribute, the sneakers are delivered in boxes resembling computers which highlights Benson Tech’s Radio KBPS program.
Placed in the box is the humbling message about Amine stating: “Three studio albums. Four mixtapes. 2x Award loser. 11x platinum. PSU dropout. 5 billion streams. Festival founder. Hometown hero. Two NB collabs. And yeah, a Benson grad,”
Planned to drop November 1st, stay tuned for more on this collaboration.
