Cars| Ringbrothers Present “Octavia” A Re-Imagined 1971 Aston Martin DBS

The US-based custom car craftsman Ringbrothers, official unveil their latest pure project of re-imagining a 1971 Aston Martin DBS nicknamed Octavia.

The specialized commission, required over 12,000 hours of craftsmanship that boosted this James Bond-like car into a more fierce machine with elevated features. Underneath the hand-shaped carbon fiber body design lies a Ford Performance 5L V8 paired with a Harrop supercharger. This pushes the cars performance up and provides the car with 805 hp through a six-speed manual gearbox. The car is braced with a widened stance, integrated structural cage and custom Roadster Shop chassis to ensure that the car’s control matched the raw power.

The design portion of the remake is just as impressive as the performance enhancements such as the Double-0 Silver body which pays homage to the Townsend-penned DBS silhouette, sharper contours and exaggerated proportions. The interior of Octavia showcase a carbon-fiber dashboard, 3D-printed stainless accents, pleated leather and machined brass door handles. The overall touch up is met with true sentiments from the Ringbrothers team as they stated “What would an MI6 agent drive on holiday?”

This one-off 1971 Aston Martin DBS by the Ringbrothers, debuted at Monterey Car Week a part of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Stay tuned for it’s next big sighting.
