Fashion| 1980-Futuristic Films Inspire @GShock_US Latest ‘Neo Tokyo’ Series

Powerhouse wrist-wear curators, G-Shock has returned with a ‘Back To The Future’ themed series dubbed ‘Neo Tokyo‘. Paying homage to 1980’s futuristic-themed films, G-Shock has revisited classic silhouettes and transform them into timepieces that evoke the sight of bright city lights. The ambiance of futuristic metropolis’ that are featured in mid-80’s films are adorned on the face of these limited-edition pieces.

Cult-classics like 1988 anime film Akira helped inspire the designs and styles behind G-Shock’s Neo Tokyo release. This soft-release consist of G-Shock’s favorite digital and analog-digital models such as their GA140, GA700, GAS100, and DW6900. Each watch sports a jet black band and bezel while featuring hints of neon that represent Tokyo’s skyline at night. Renown G-Shock features remain such as their touch technology but also their shock and water-resistant up to 200m. Of course, they also are accompanied with a countdown timer, stopwatch, and more.

The DW6900, GA140, GA700 models retail at $99 each, and the GAS100 model retails for $150, and all are available now at select G-SHOCK retailers including Macy’s, G-SHOCK Soho Store, and gshock.com.
