Dior recently teamed with Kim Jones for a collaboration series for their Spring/Summer 2020 collection and the reality of this duo-effort is brought to life in the Daniel Arsham supported campaign visual. The celebrated release references the “Future Relic” take on a DeLorean, as it’s spotted throughout the entire campaign.
This collection pays homage to Dior’s lavish history in design and fashion. Within the capsule this homage is paid in unique ways such as hints including the Lily of the Valley flower (a lucky-charm of the house’s founder), as well as the Dior Oblique Canvas and a series of graphic patterns. Another notable theme in this series is the detail in tailoring, which has been reworked to focus on light and supple fabrics.
Arsham’s influence within this release is showcased within the “Future Relic” scenery and jewelry features Dior logos with time-worn cracks and crystals are used on the earrings. The Steven Meisel directed campaign further showcases the many details that make this collection so appealing.
