For the last week, we have covered a luxury-based collaboration between New York fashion brand Aime Leon Dore and luxury car maker Porsche. The two begun their campaign of the “ALD 964”, which is a restored 911 silhouette, and continued this unveiling with the final piece being the fashion contribution for this union in design. After months of research and designing, the campaign is finally complete and being displayed a limited time in New York City. Today’s unveiling is for the capsule collection which comes with an official release date.
The fashion offering grabs all the design detailing from the ALD 964 attributes and signature accents such as “ALD 964” embroidery, which is spotted throughout the car’s design and these fashion pieces. Shades of off-white, muted grey tones, forest green and red are the focal points for the colorway shared throughout this capsule. Select hounds-tooth wool accessories by Loro Piana descry Porsche’s roots with a Schott leather car bag and toolkit. Additions like premium leather driving gloves are offered in each of the four colorways associated. Accompanying this release is a pin series that feature the Porsche 911 car along with a racing duck and the collaboration’s signature pin exhibiting the “Aime Leon Dore” lettering and the “Nine Six Four” identification tag attached. The collection mirrors the aesthetics and ethos of the partnered car, from the pigment of the seats to fabrics detailed inside the interior.
The collaborative capsule launches February 6 at 11 a.m. EST on Aimé Leon Dore’s website and at the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery at the address below.
