Art| Daniel Arsham Teams With Hot Wheels For “Lap Three” Collaboration

Porsche enthusiasts and renowned artist, Daniel Arsham returns with a classic collaboration with world known toy brand Hot Wheels through Mattel Creations. For their third installment of a four-part series, Hot Wheels reimagines their signature models in the 1:64 scale in a Daniel Arsham artistic aesthetic.

For ‘Lap Three’ in this series, Hot Wheels & Daniel present two new vehicles, one is a clay-style eroded rendition of the Twin Mill, making this release one of the first “Hot Wheels Originals” that is designed from an original concept and not of a real-life car. Adding to the release is the Daniel Arsham adaptation of the 1986 Porsche 930, which is a mock version of the Arsham real-life collaboration with Porsche. Final pieces of this collaboration include a collection of posters & a custom license plate paying homage to the award-winning California “Sunshine Plate” of the 1980s.

The collection will be available for purchase starting February 23 via Mattel’s official site.
